Accessibility Statement

Flex Putter is committed to making flexputter.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or speech recognition software.

The standard we work to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

How this site currently measures up

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard. The gaps we know about are listed below, and we are working on them.

What is in place today:

• Every image carries alternative text, and product images describe what they show.
• Every form field has a visible label correctly associated with its input.
• The site can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the element in focus is visibly indicated.
• Text and interface colours meet the contrast ratios the standard requires.
• Video that plays on its own can be paused, and motion is reduced automatically for visitors whose device asks for it.
• Headings, landmarks and page structure are marked up so assistive technology can navigate them.
• The Your Privacy Choices control in the footer is keyboard operable and announces changes as they are saved.

Known gaps we are working to close:

• Video captions and transcripts. Our instructional videos do not yet have captions or written transcripts. Until they do, please contact us and we will describe in writing any technique shown in a video.
• Checkout. Our checkout is provided by Shopify and parts of it are outside our control. If you have difficulty completing an order, contact us and we will help you complete your purchase.

We do not use an accessibility overlay

We have deliberately chosen not to install an accessibility overlay or widget. Overlays are widely regarded as an inadequate substitute for accessible code, and they can interfere with the assistive technology you already use. We fix problems in the site itself instead.
